| Field(s) of Activity | The Association is assisting its members by providing financial support for physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy and health care. In total, the Association provides three types of support to its members; social psychological economic support. On occasions where members of the Association are in great need of specific medical equipment, which the state is not in a position to provide, the Muscular Dystrophy Association Cyprus (MDA) steps in to provide such equipment. Moreover, the MDA provides social and psychological support to the persons with muscular dystrophy as well as to their families and takes the initiative to inform them about the services which are provided to them as well as their rights. In addition, the Association may provide a vacations allowance to its members and economic support to those members who are students. |
